A Colourful, Editorial Wedding in a Greenhouse
Carolina & Alexandre — Les Serres de Rospico, Brittany, France
Some weddings stand out for their setting. Others for the energy of the people who bring them to life. Carolina and Alexandre’s wedding brought both together: an extraordinary venue, an art direction full of personality, and, at the heart of it all, the desire to celebrate with the people who matter most.
For their wedding, they chose Les Serres de Rospico in Névez, Brittany, France. A lush, atmospheric space where the architectural lines of the greenhouse meet an abundance of greenery. A setting with a character all its own, offering a different way to imagine a wedding celebration.
Moving away from traditional wedding conventions, Carolina and Alexandre envisioned a day that was colourful, warm and full of life. A celebration that felt entirely like them, where aesthetics complemented the emotions rather than overshadowing them.

A Wedding Inspired by Their Story
Carolina and Alexandre’s story crosses borders. After meeting in Indonesia, their relationship unfolded between Paris and Zurich, shaped by travel, new encounters and the different cultures that are part of their everyday lives.
It felt only natural for their wedding to reflect that story.
Rather than following a conventional vision of a wedding, they imagined a deeply personal celebration surrounded by their loved ones, with a special place for music, friendship and shared experiences.
A friend singing during the ceremony, musician friends, a live concert: thoughtful choices that turned their wedding into something truly collective.
These are also the details that give a wedding photography story its depth. Behind every aesthetic choice are relationships, memories and a way of being together that belongs entirely to them.
Les Serres de Rospico: An Unconventional Wedding Venue Where Architecture Meets Nature
Choosing a greenhouse wedding venue means embracing a setting that already has a strong identity of its own.
At Les Serres de Rospico, the greenery is far more than a backdrop. It shapes the atmosphere of the entire space. The architectural volumes, perspectives and natural textures create an environment that feels both intimate and visually striking.
This is precisely what makes a venue like this so compelling for an editorial wedding aesthetic.
There is no need to fill every corner with decoration to create a distinctive atmosphere. The venue itself already provides much of the visual composition. Light, architectural lines, foliage and silhouettes become elements that naturally shape the photographs.
Colourful Wedding Art Direction, Thoughtfully Considered
The wedding's creative direction was developed with Atelier Matin, bringing together an organic, colourful and warm aesthetic. Rather than transforming the greenhouse, the intention was to work with what was already there: respecting the venue's character, allowing the greenery to breathe and introducing touches of colour that complemented the surroundings.
The intentionally understated floral arrangements were part of this approach.
It's a vision of wedding design that resonates with me: one where every choice feels intentional. Where colours, textures, fashion and details come together naturally, without making the result feel overly staged.
From a photographic perspective, this attention to art direction opens up so many possibilities. It creates opportunities for more graphic compositions, interesting contrasts and details that deserve their own place within the story.
But what interests me most is the relationship between this visual world and the people who bring it to life.
A beautifully designed table takes on another meaning when guests gather around it. An outfit tells a richer story when captured in a spontaneous gesture. A setting becomes a memory when it's filled with life.

A Celebration Centred Around Music and Loved Ones
While the venue and art direction gave the wedding its visual identity, Carolina and Alexandre's loved ones gave it its human dimension.
Music held a particularly meaningful place in their vision for the day. Not simply as a soundtrack to the ceremony or the evening, but as a way of bringing their friends into the celebration itself.
The glances exchanged during a ceremony, unexpected reactions, affectionate gestures, reunions and the movement of a party: these are the moments that can never be entirely anticipated and that, over time, often become some of the most treasured photographs.

Documentary Wedding Photography with an Editorial Eye
Photographing a wedding like Carolina and Alexandre's is about finding a balance between two approaches that naturally complement one another.
On one hand, documentary wedding photography: observing, anticipating and telling the story as it unfolds, without interrupting the spontaneity of the moment.
On the other, an editorial sensibility: paying attention to light, composition, colour, silhouettes and the way every element comes together within the frame.
In a venue like Les Serres de Rospico, this combination becomes especially interesting. The architecture and greenery provide a strong visual setting, while the interactions between guests bring emotional depth to the photographs.
I love photographing a striking, carefully composed portrait just as much as a burst of laughter caught in the middle of a conversation. A considered composition as much as a fleeting moment.
The intention isn't to make a wedding look like a fashion editorial. It's to create a photographic story with a distinctive visual identity, while remaining true to the people and the moments that make it meaningful.

Imagining a Wedding That Feels Entirely Like You
A celebration doesn't have to follow a particular formula to feel elegant.
A greenhouse instead of a château, creative direction that works in harmony with the setting, friends at the heart of the music, personal choices rather than traditions followed out of habit: these are the intentions that give a wedding its character.
And they're what make every story so interesting to photograph.
I photograph weddings across France, Italy and internationally, combining a documentary approach with an editorial eye. I'm particularly drawn to couples who envision a personal celebration in an extraordinary setting, and who care just as much about the experience of their wedding as the photographs they'll carry with them afterwards.
If you're planning a wedding where art, design, meaningful connections and genuine emotions all have their place, I'd love to hear your story.
